Two kinds of rooms
Some rooms are made on the spot by whoever's there. Others are set up by kvoroom at places worth gathering. You'll see both on the map, told apart by how they look and how long they last.
Regular rooms
Anyone can start one, anchored to wherever they're standing right now. Meant for the next hour, not forever.
Curated rooms
Set up by kvoroom at cafés, restaurants, hotels, campuses, transit hubs and more. No clock — they're there whenever you're nearby.
Only what's actually around you
There's no search bar for rooms in another city, and no way to browse the whole map. kvoroom lists rooms within 1.5 km of you, and the map itself only lets you look around within 2 km of where you are. If you want to see what's happening somewhere else, you go there.

You can sign up, browse the map, join rooms, and read every conversation right away. The one thing kvoroom asks before you can create a room or send your first message — in a room or a direct chat — is that you confirm your email. It's a one-tap link, and it's mostly there to keep the person on the other end real.
Direct messages start as a request. You ask, they accept — nobody lands in your inbox uninvited.
A direct chat stays open for as long as you both want it — there's no countdown clock. It closes once either of you leaves it.
You're always in control
Every avatar is randomly generated and fully yours to customize — nothing here is tied to your real name. And if someone makes a room worse:
Block removes them from your rooms immediately and hides your rooms from them going forward — no explanation owed.
Report flags one specific message for our team, not the whole person — precise, and it doesn't end the conversation for anyone else.
